UIDWatch

Terms of service

Version of 7 October 2026.

These terms apply between Fabian Sigel, Bruggerstrasse 148, 5400 Baden, Switzerland (“we”), and the business that uses UIDWatch at https://uidwatch.tollwyn.com, in the web app or through the API (“you”). You accept them when you sign up — on the website or over the API — and again when you subscribe. Whoever signs up confirms that they act for a business and may bind it.

1. For businesses

UIDWatch is offered only to businesses, public bodies and the self-employed for their professional activity, not to consumers.

2. The service

UIDWatch compares the Swiss company UIDs on your watchlist with the publications of the Swiss Official Gazette of Commerce (SOGC) and tells you, by email, webhook and API, when a publication concerns one of them. We read the gazette through its official open API several times an hour. We may develop UIDWatch further, but we do not remove its main functions during a paid month.

3. No guarantee for the data or availability

We pass on what the gazette publishes, classified by us. We do not guarantee that the gazette or its API are complete, correct or available, that every publication is found, classified correctly or delivered in time, or that UIDWatch is always available: maintenance and outages of the gazette, of our hosting and network providers or of Stripe can delay or interrupt the service. The legally binding version of a publication is its signed PDF in the gazette; check it before you act. UIDWatch is no credit rating and no legal advice.

4. Account and trial

You need an account with a valid email address. The trial is free with the duration and limits shown on the pricing page; it ends by itself and costs nothing unless you subscribe. Keep your password and API keys secret; you are responsible for what is done with them.

5. Subscription and payment

The subscription costs the price shown on the pricing page per package and month, in Swiss francs, paid in advance through Stripe. We are not registered for Swiss VAT and charge no VAT; you account for any tax due in your country. The subscription renews monthly until you cancel it in the customer portal; it then ends at the end of the paid month. When you change the number of packages, Stripe charges or credits the difference pro rata. Otherwise paid months are not refunded, also not when you delete your account, which ends the subscription at once. If a payment fails, we may pause monitoring until it is made. We may change prices with 30 days’ notice by email; you may cancel before the change applies.

6. Use of the alerts

You may use the alerts for your own business and pass them on to your customers and clients, for example as a fiduciary for the debtors of your clients. You may not resell UIDWatch as a data feed of its own or use it to overload the gazette or our service.

7. Your data

Your list, references, groups and settings remain yours. You can export your list and events as CSV at any time; when you delete your account they are deleted as described in the privacy policy.

8. Data we process on your behalf

For personal data in your watchlist, in your references and groups and in the publications we find for your list — for example the owners of sole proprietorships and the board members, managers and signatories named in register publications — you are the controller and we are your processor (Art. 9 FADP, Art. 28 GDPR). We process these data for as long as your account exists and only to monitor your list and alert you. We:

  1. process them only on your documented instructions, which are these terms and your settings, and tell you if we think an instruction breaks data protection law;
  2. bind everyone who has access to them to confidentiality;
  3. protect them with appropriate technical and organisational measures, among them encrypted connections, hashed passwords and keys, and access limited to the operator;
  4. use the processors listed in the privacy policy, which you approve; we announce a new processor by email 30 days in advance, and you may object by cancelling before it starts;
  5. help you, as far as we can, to answer requests of data subjects and to meet your duties on security, breach notification and impact assessments;
  6. tell you without undue delay of a breach of security that concerns these data;
  7. delete them when you delete your account, unless the law requires us to keep them;
  8. give you the information you need to show that these duties are met, and allow audits by you or an auditor bound to confidentiality, with reasonable notice and at your cost.

Transfers to the countries named in the privacy policy are made under the safeguards described there.

9. Liability

We are liable without limit for intent and gross negligence. For slight negligence, as far as the law permits, our liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the damage, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damage, lost profit or lost data, in particular for a publication found late, classified wrongly or not at all. During the free trial we are liable only for intent and gross negligence. These limits also apply to the liability for our auxiliaries and subcontractors.

10. Ending

You may delete your account at any time under Settings. We may end your account with 30 days’ notice by email and then refund fees paid for the time after the end. We may end it at once if you seriously break these terms.

11. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms with 30 days’ notice by email. If you do not cancel before the change applies, the new version applies from then on.

12. Law and jurisdiction

Swiss law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Baden, Switzerland; we may also sue you at your seat.
